Our staff are all Department of Children and Family Services (DCFS) certified, possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree, and participate in continuing education as well as trained in first aid and food sanitation.
Mindy is a center director of Little University since 2006. She has a degree in Early Childhood Education and minor in Psychology from National Louis University. She also has obtained a Certificate from Erikson Institute Graduate School in Child Development. Mindy has extensive experience working with young children as well as working closely with parents. Under her guidance, the center is licensed by State and DCFS. She is dedicated to helping the staff and children reach their full potential.
Delma has over 25 years of teaching experience. After she has retired in 2013, she has joined Little University as a volunteer, She comes every week and read and play games with children. Delma’s experience with all age groups and is currently functioning as a resource person and substitute teacher. Her expertise with all age groups is much utilized.
She joined our staff as a Teacher Assistant at Little University in August 2014. She is now working towards her Associate’s degree in Early Childhood Education at Southeastern Illinois College. Her positive attitude and patience has a positive effect on the children and her flexibility in providing assistance where needed makes her an asset to the center.
Sarah graduated from University of Illinois at Chicago with a BA in majoring Special Education and she has an endorsement in reading, language arts, and social studies. Sarah has extensive experience teaching as an Academic Director from Korea before joining the staff of Little University in 2013. Sarah is an enthusiastic teacher and is director qualified by the DCFS.
